Embracing Change and Empowering Students

introduction from cindy sackett, executive director

As Invest in Youth begins our 25th year serving some of the most deserving students in the Seattle area, I’m pleased to provide this report to our community of supporters.

The board and I look forward to building upon our ability to thrive in challenging times rather than merely survive. It’s a sentiment I draw upon on a daily

basis running our organization. We aren’t content to remain still instead we focus on evolving and growing the organization to empower our students to become confident, capable learners.

In the 2021-2022 year, we successfully adapted to the changing school environments, ensuring students experienced no interruption in our service. In our financial report, you’ll see we continued to manage our expenses carefully while expanding our financial support to ensure long-term stability.

Looking to the upcoming school year and beyond, the board and I have articulated three critical goals for the upcoming year: enhance student and tutor support, expand enrichment programming, and extend our diversity, equity and inclusion outreach.

Please take a moment to read more about how Invest in Youth is building a stronger organization to better serve our students for the next 25 years. We truly appreciate your time and support as we move into the 2022-2023 school year!

With gratitude and appreciation,

Cindy
