2022 Year-End Letter

December 1, 2022

Thank you for your continued support of Invest In Youth!

As we begin our 25th year serving some of the most deserving students in the Seattle area, we are grateful for our community and pleased to share some highlights and updates with our supporters, and ask that you consider continuing your support of our impactful programs.

The board looks forward to building upon our ability to thrive in challenging times rather than merely survive. It’s a sentiment we draw upon on a daily basis within our organization and strive to model with the students we serve. We aren’t content to remain still; instead focusing on evolving and growing the organization to empower our students to become confident and capable learners.

In the 2021-2022 year, we successfully adapted to the changing school environments, ensuring students experienced no interruption in our service. We continue to manage our expenses carefully while expanding our financial support to ensure long-term stability for students, tutors and the organization.

Our team at Invest In Youth has laid out three critical goals for the 2022- 2023 school year:

  • enhance student and tutor support,

  • expand enrichment programming,

  • and extend our diversity, equity and inclusion outreach.

Through our programming, we have seen that students participating in Invest in Youth have shown to be better equipped to achieve academic growth compared to their peers that are not participating. By emphasizing both academic support and personal relationships, our program promotes scholastic excellence and builds confidence for a lifetime of dividends.

The need for our services is greater than ever and your financial support allows us to continue offering our tutoring and enrichment programs free of charge to families and schools. Please visit our GIVE page to make your year-end gift today.

On behalf of the students, families, teachers and Invest In Youth Board, thank you for helping us make a difference,
From the board and staff at Invest in Youth
