We are actively looking for a program manager. This person plays a pivotal role in bringing our one-on-one tutoring program to life. Primary responsibilities include a variety of program-related duties, along with support for key operational, administrative and fundraising outreach efforts.
The role is supported by our highly engaged board of directors and depends on maintaining strong relationships with school administrators, teachers, community partners, and — most importantly — the volunteers who are key to our success.

Responsibilities
Administrative
Manage Salesforce and Mailchimp data
Pick up mail
Tutor Recruitment
Serve on tutor recruitment committee
Manage posting announcements across community
Receive and respond to tutor applications
Schedule and conduct tutor interviews
Run background checks
Assign tutors to schools
Program
Serve on program committee
Contact principals in September for schedule/teacher assignment/process
Coordinate and manage the following with teachers (site coordinators) at each school at the start of the school year
Registration of students with parents
Teacher recommendation sheets
Pair students with tutors
Develop and manage tutor resources
Arrange quarterly meetings for site coordinators and the board
Manage the following, in-person, at school sites each week – while supporting IIY reps at other sites
Attendance of students and tutors
Absences and substitute assignments
Communication with tutors to serve as an ongoing resource
Obtain test data from schools
Provide fall training for tutors
Build relationships with tutors
Attend bi-monthly board meetings
Attend Seattle Tutoring Coalition and advertise their trainings
Fundraising and Development:
Assist with planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns
Manage Salesforce and Mailchimp data
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent education/work/life experience
Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral and written communication and conflict resolution skills
Traditional and digital media savvy
Organized and creative thinker with ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, accept new challenges, and work successfully across organization lines and with a diverse team of colleagues
Growth mindset, an ability to work independently, and a rigorous attention to detail
Experience with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Mailchimp and Google Workspace desired

This is a 30-hour per week position, with flexible hours. Must live in the greater Seattle area. This position works directly with elementary-age children and adults in a school setting. Accepting this position will require passing a background check.
Hiring wage: $25-30/hour, 30-hours per week.
