Invest in Youth Staff
Each day at Invest in Youth our staff, guided by our board of directors, is driven by our vision first articulated in 1997 to nurture a community of engaged, confident and capable students who actively seek solutions to the challenges they encounter.
annika prichard, program manager
Annika has worked with students in Seattle and abroad, supporting cultural and educational programs with a strong commitment to creating inclusive and supportive environments where students learn and thrive.
In her role as program manager she manages tutor recruitment, oversees all programming aspects including tutor training to ensure tutors have necessary resources for impactful time with students, and is the primary Invest in Youth contact for tutors.
She oversees our program coordinator and is on-site for tutoring at Beacon Hill International School, Sanislo Elementary and Thurgood Marshall Elementary.
Her experience includes designing arts education programs, teaching individual and group classes, and leading high school study-abroad programs. She holds a bachelor of fine arts from Temple University.
alexandra thompson, Program coordinator
Alexandra brings a wide and varied background to Invest in Youth, reflecting her deep commitment to her local community. Her volunteer engagement includes supporting the West Seattle Food Bank, Roxhill Elementary School library and Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish School.
Her volunteer work includes both hands-on work, serving as a reading and math tutor, as well as co-chairing a strategic planning process at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral to advance its mission of spiritual transformation, community service and stewardship.
She supports the students and tutors at Roxhill Elementary.
With her affinity for foreign languages, she speaks both German and French. She holds a bachelor of arts from the College of William and Mary and a master's in public administration from the University of Washington.
