Job Title: Program Coordinator (Intern)

Reports to: Executive director

Status: Non-exempt, part-time position

The program coordinator is responsible for supporting the executive director through a variety of program-related, marketing, development, operational and administrative tasks. This program works directly with elementary-age children in a school setting.

Responsibilities

Administrative

  • Assist with the communications calendar

  • Assist with entering Salesforce and Mailchimp data

  • Other duties as assigned

Program and Recruitment

  • Design tutor recruitment flyers and resources; manage posting announcements across community

  • Schedule tutor interviews and meetings

  • Support tutoring sessions in-person at schools and communicate updates to tutors as needed

  • Implement programming and adapt as needed for health and safety of students and tutors

Development

  • Assist with planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns

  • Assist with donor recognition (thank you letters, IRS tax receipts, sponsorship invoices, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral and written communication and conflict resolution skills

  • Media savvy (traditional and digital)

  • Organized and creative thinker with ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, accept new challenges, and work successfully across organizational lines with a diverse team of colleagues

  • Possess and promote a growth mindset

  • Ability to work independently with a rigorous attention to detail

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, database/CRM platforms such as Salesforce, and email distribution systems such as Mailchimp

  • Commitment to IIY’s mission and vision

  • Must enjoy working with children

This is a 15-20 hour per week position with flexible hours. Must live in the greater Seattle area.

Hiring wage: $22/hour, 15 to 20 hours a week.
